The history of the Tithe Church is truly impressive – it is the first stone church of the Kyiv movement, which was destroyed twice: during the Mongol assault on Kyiv in 1240 and in 1928 by the communist dictatorship. If you dreamed of visiting it, we did everything possible for that.
What did we do?
The task before us was not easy. We invited Mykola Mazurenko to help, who drew the church in 3D according to old schemes and plans. Also, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine equipped its 3D copies of the church, which were developed by Volodymyr Kolybenko and Olga Kyrylyuk
.
Next to the place where only the foundation is now preserved, we installed an information stand. By scanning the QR codes, everyone can see the church building in augmented reality. We also did not skip the informational component — we created a bilingual audio guide. Tom, an American, and a sincere supporter of Ukraine, helped us with dubbing in English. We also developed 3D copies of three crosses that were found during archaeological excavations at the site of the Tithe Church, and are now kept in the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.
