In 2024, the “Space of Rethinking” – a museum dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian war – will be inaugurated in Zaporizhzhia with the support of the “Metinvest” group. However, thanks to our team, everyone can visit it right now. This is the first virtual museum dedicated to the theme of the Russian invasion, allowing visitors not only to view the exhibits but also to interact with them. What Have We Achieved? Creating a museum in virtual reality is a complex yet incredibly exciting process. The “Space of Rethinking” team provided us with the interior design of the future museum, crafted by architects. We utilized it in creating a virtual replica. The exposition will feature 11 thematic halls, covering topics such as the defense of Zaporozhye, war heroes, humanitarian crises, Russian crimes against the civilian population and infrastructure, among others. We have transferred some of these elements into the virtual space. Wearing a VR helmet, the visitor immerses themselves in an interactive environment, allowing them to lift, rotate, and closely examine the exhibits. This level of interaction with cultural artifacts is unparalleled in an ordinary museum, providing a completely new and unique experience of learning history. While exploring the virtual museum, the visitor is accompanied by an audio guide aiding in navigation. We extend our gratitude to the voice actor, announcer Yevgeny Zhigun, for his invaluable contribution.
