Mykhailo Hrushevskyi is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Ukraine. The scientist, public, and political figure spent a lot of time in his office at 9 Pankivska Street. Imagine that this academician invited you to his place. Although thanks to our team you won’t have to imagine.

What did we do?

We were approached by “Kyiv Digital” as part of the project of digitalization of museums and the development of a cultural and tourist hub, the purpose of which was to give museums new interesting opportunities for exhibitions. The Historical and Memorial Museum of Mykhailo Hrushevsky provided us with archival photos of the office of the outstanding figure, which allowed us to reconstruct it in augmented reality.

We also digitized a chair, a medallion, a griffin statuette, books, and a clock from Hrushevsky’s office and developed their 3D models. You can see them during a virtual tour, and the recorded audio guide adds interactivity, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in the world of the academician’s history.

The project created new, exciting opportunities for museum exposition, making history accessible and modern. This is an example of how digital transformation can unite the past and the present.
